Hard-hitting (?) questions for Brian Wilson

"When some loud braggart tries to put me down and says his school is great,
"I tell him right away, 'Now what's the matter, buddy, ain't you heard of my school? It's number one in the state.' (Hey hey take it away, let's call it a fight)
"So be true to your school now (Rah rah rah rah sis boom bah), just like you're true to your girl or guy."

Isn't the "loud braggart" just doing exactly what you're instructing, Brian? Isn't he just being true to his school? How is he trying to put YOU down by saying that his school is great?

And by claiming that YOUR school is "number one in the state", doesn't that actually make YOU the braggart, Brian? Hmm? And what's with calling this conversation a fight, hmm?

I'm calling you out, Brian. I think you're an instigator. I think you're the reason we have violence in our schools. Shame on you.

*** Of course, if you read me or know me at all, you should hopefully understand that I am merely ruminating on the song that was playing in my head upon awaking this morning. I don't REALLY believe Brian Wilson, nor his lyrics, are the root of violence in our schools. Movies like West Side Story are the root of violence in our schools. Obviously. Sheesh.

er, um... is this thing on?

Hey there. Uh, sorry, kids. I took what looks like an unannounced holiday or vacay or stay-cay or sabbatical or sumthin'. I apologize profusely.

What have I been up to in the last coupla weeks, you ask?

Let's see, there's my gig at Warner Bros. Studio Tours Hollywood. There were a coupla days on the set of "2 Broke Girls". There was grocery shopping and a bit of swimming or walking in the pool and laundry and paying bills and feeding the cats and watching the boob tube.

Honestly, I haven't had a whole heckuvalot to say because I haven't, um, done a heckuvalot.

I did get new glasses. I don't love 'em, but I ordered 'em online from China and I can't seem to return 'em. :/

I love my life!

At the beginning of the summer, I worked a day in the BG of "Masters of Sex" and got upgraded with 11 others to principal contract(s).

Then I interviewed for the temporary summer tour guide position at Warner Bros. and spent the bulk of the summer driving golf carts and divulging the rich history of the studio to our guests. As many of my friends there were being forced to look for their next gig, I got "extended" to the end of this month.

But my hours got cut, and I found myself with more days off per week. That meant greater availability for BG work, of course!

So, earlier this week, I had a good day on "Jane the Virgin". Today, I had a fantastic day hanging out with the Swedish Chef and Sweetums and Rowlf, et al.
《Oh Em Gee, I can't EVEN right now. I just can't.》

Next week, I'm already booked for a couple of days on "2 Broke Girls" in addition to my full week of tours. And no, I can't tell you about my day on "Jane" nor my days on "2BG". I just can't. Trust me when I say, though, I LOVE MY LIFE!

Things are picking up, kids! Things are definitely picking up! I love my life.

Welcome, Sweden!

This is the first time you've joined me, or at least, so far as I can tell, it's the first time. I have given you a shout-out once before, but that was when I'd had tour guests on my cart when I first started my gig at Warner Bros.

I'm still enjoying blogging, and I'm still enjoying my gig at Warner Bros., and the summer is pseudo-officially ending, so that means I'll get to enjoy a few more days on set each week, as we get closer to the "official" end of my tour guiding (if we ever reach that official end).

Who knows what the future holds? I'm full of excitement lately, even on days like today, where I stayed home and accomplished at-home shit.

So now that you've joined me here, will you be sticking around? I'm really getting a kick out of the "old" blog posts that people who are visiting here (of late) seem to be visiting "on purpose". Please let me know if any of these "old" posts create any kind of reactions, positive or negative or neither but still visceral.
